What To Do
Taylor Ogle has put together a list of fun things to do in Gatlinburg (he grew up there). Saturday all afternoon is wide open to do whatever you want. Have fun!
Top things to do in Gatlinburg, TN
1. Hiking (Depending on time some of these are not an option but definitely suggested if you can find another time to do them)
- Chimney Tops
- Andrews Bald
- Henwalla Falls
- Grotto Falls
- Not for Beginners
- Trillium Gap
- Mt. Cammerer Fire Tower
- Baxter Creek to Mt. Sterling Fire Tower
To be honest. Whoever wanted to go hiking should do The Old Settlers Trail. It’s not an official trail, however you would actually start from the lodge and end up in Greenbrier. So whoever decided to do that could drop a car in Greenbrier so once they were finished they could drive back to the lodge. Or go half way and just turn back and walk to the lodge – depending on time.
Here is a link to that trail. https://www.google.com/search?q=old+settlers+trail+gatlinburg
Ramsey Cascades is also near the lodge. Adventurous trail, but long.
2. Ober Gatlinburg
- Ski Resort
- Ice Skating
- Snow Tubing
- Tons of attractions and fun shops
- Haunted Houses
- Space Needle
- Putt-Putt / Go-Carts
- Star Cars
